It is with great sadness that I write this.

My friend and fellow Alba Paranormal Team Mate, Pete Jackal, died earlier this morning 15th June 2008.

Peter was one of the most enthusiastic members of Alba Paranormal, a gentleman and a firm friend. He was present on almost all our investigations, large or small, since he joined the team with his partner Christine a few years ago.  Pete fought depression and although I've seen him down, when he was up, he was a wonderful soul. His humour, enthusiasm and wit made dark nights a fun time. Pete was an engineer, biker and inventor. He came up with a very powerful infra-red illuminator for use on our investigations. He built a gyro for fun in his garden and had an amazing workshop in his garden where we spent some time together discussing future projects, now sadly, never to be.

Pete leaves his partner Christine and a large number of very close, loving friends.

He once told me that he wanted to become involved in paranormal investigations because he firmly believed in a life after death and wanted to prove it. I fervently hope it's been proved to your satisfaction Pete. You went over too soon mate. I'll miss you.

Alba Paranormal are available, usually at short notice, to help if you have been experiencing unusual phenomena at home or anywhere else. We don't charge for this service and if we consider the circumstances warrant, we can meet you very soon after you initially contact us. During our investigations we film as much of the activity as we can. We use Sony night shot cameras and in some cases a High Definition camera is used to film interviews. The footage is edited using Pinnacle 9, titled and burned to DVD. These videos are produced for the use of group members and property owners. The videos are not professional standard but are as good as equipment and a very limited budget allows. However, some visitors to our site have asked me if the DVDs are available for public viewing. I've decided to make the DVDs available on a limited basis. If you would like a copy of the DVD from our investigations, please contact me at the group email address. I'll burn a copy of the footage and post it to you. The DVD is a plain printable Ritek disc and it'll be sent in a plastic envelope (no fancy packaging I'm afraid) Cost will be the cost of the blank disc plus postage. Alba Paranormal are not in this to make money but then again, I'm not in it to lose money either.

Alba Paranormal is based in Central Scotland.

We are rapidly gaining a reputation as the premier investigation team in Scotland.

We are all experienced paranormal investigators who are specialists in various disciplines, including electronics, psychology and spiritualism.

You can be assured that all our team will treat you with the greatest respect and courtesy during the term of our investigation. Our investigation could be a one night vigil or an ongoing investigation which might involve several visits.  Our reports will be at all times, honest. If we find nothing, we won't make it up.

We provide our services

FREE OF CHARGE

We are prepared to travel almost anywhere in Scotland and will investigate venues ranging from private homes to factories and castles. All results of our investigations will be reported to the venue owner and names and addresses will be kept completely confidential.

No information relating to an AP Investigation will be published on our website without the express permission of the venue owner. This includes photographs, video footage, audio or text files.

No information relating to an AP Investigation will be released to any other paranormal group, newspaper, radio or TV company without a release form being signed by the venue owner.

Initial Contact

When you contact us, we will arrange for an initial meeting with you at the venue. We will take some readings and photographs and conduct interviews with witnesses which will be recorded on audio tape. This allows us to concentrate on the interview with the witness, rather than writing notes and perhaps misinterpreting the information given to us.

If you decide to allow us to continue with the investigation, we will ask you to sign an investigation permission form which will allow us access to the property at times to be arranged with the owner.

If you decide you'd rather not have a team of investigators on your property, we will leave and will give you contact details in the event you change your mind and want us to come back. We won't pester you into allowing an investigation.

Investigations

Investigations will be carried out by arrangement with the venue owner. A small team will arrive in advance of the main investigation team to allow us to carry out baseline tests and to set up any experiments or monitoring equipment required. When the full team arrive, we will carry out the investigation which will consist of vigils in various locations which will be filmed on video camera and recorded in audio format.

You, as the owner, will be invited to join the team for the duration of the investigation. If, at any time, you feel the investigation should end, we will pack up and go without further argument.

When the investigation is complete, you will receive a written report on our findings with any recommendations we may have. In certain cases, you will also receive a DVD with footage and audio taken during the investigation. Please note that all reports including video, audio and text remain copyright of Alba Paranormal.
