Psychic Rescues
Over the past few months, we’ve been heavily involved in psychic rescue in various locations. Due to promises of privacy to homeowners, I can’t divulge names or exact locations but I can give you, the reader, an idea of what we’ve been up to for the past few months. Due to locations being generally private homes, we have to reduce the team numbers on these occasions as most folk wouldn't be happy to have 18 to 20 folk tramping through their home.
West coast. We were called by a couple who had been getting lots of orbs in family photos. The man had been pushed downstairs and the woman had seen various figures in the house. The team arrived and we set about our investigation. Our investigation format for a rescue is totally different from a normal investigation. In a rescue, we’re not out to prove the existence of spirit but are prepared to accept it for the duration of the investigation. Bill and I generally make a walk round first then Michael and Darren (our newest medium) follow and we compare notes. If Bill and Michael agree, we will attempt to move on the spirit after trying to find out a bit of the history. If we get a story, we will let the owners know and suggest that the best thing is to try and move the spirit on.
In this case, there was something in the house but it wasn’t very forthcoming with information. Try as he might, Bill couldn’t quite get a handle on this soul but he and Michael decided to try and clear the house anyway. Bill spent a long time talking to the woman of the house; the contents of the conversation remain private between them. We performed a clearing of the house and have not had any further contact from the couple since. Not one of our most exciting investigations but sometimes this happens.
Irvine. We were contacted by a young mother who was hearing noises outside her room at night. There were bangs on her bedroom door and voices in her room. A figure was also seen to cross the lounge and disappear through a wall! Stevie and I paid a visit to ascertain the situation. We’ve found that this is always a good idea since there are some who believe they are in a haunted house but unfortunately it’s al in the mind, wishful thinking or even an attempt to deceive or get attention. We have to be sure that the team is going into a situation that is as near genuine as possible. One other thing that differs from a normal investigation is that we tell the psychics as much as possible about the phenomena in the house since they are there to do a rescue and we feel that they shouldn’t be going in blind.
When the team turned up, Bill immediately found an old woman in the room. He spent some time alone and came out to tell us that this spirit was the grandmother of the householder and was there to protect her. A further spirit was located in the hall and Bill, Michael and the rest of the team held a séance in the lounge. The spirit was a man who had lived in the area and was trying to get attention. The séance ended with his spirit moving into the light. Not the easiest of clearances as Michael and Bill had to convince him that it was the proper thing to do. He left with an apology to the householder for any trouble he had caused and his thanks for helping him. We have heard from the owner that all activity in the house has ceased with the exception of the occasional feeling that her grandmother is back to check she is all right. Chalk up another success!
Irvine. Contacted by a family member. My niece had been seeing a girl in her room and she was actually talking to her! She was becoming afraid to sleep in the room and even her mum and dad didn’t like the feelings in the room. I paid a visit on my own and spent some time in the room alone. I got the feeling that there was an oppressive atmosphere in the room and that I wasn’t welcome. I got readings on my EMF meter and took some photos which, unfortunately, showed nothing out of the ordinary. Michael and Bill are both getting very good at remote viewing. I spoke to both and they agreed that there was at least one spirit in the house. Bill described the room and told me to pay particular attention to a chest of drawers and that there was something on the top of this that the spirit was particularly attracted to.
The team arrived on a Saturday night. Other members of my family were also there. We did the usual walk round and Bill got a girl in her late teens in the hall and in the bedroom. Michael got several family spirits in the living-room and was happily chatting to my sister about family members who had passed over when Bill suddenly got up and walked upstairs. I said that this was an indication that he was ready to carry out a séance to move the spirits on. In the room, the team formed a circle with my sister involved. Michael spoke to the girl and we found that there were in fact two spirits in the room. The other was her sister who was trying to get her to move on but as she had committed suicide, she was terrified of what would happen to her. Bill and Michael with the help of their worker spirits convinced the girl that she could cross with no problems and after about 30 minutes, her sister and her grandmother took her over. The room immediately felt lighter and everyone went downstairs to recover from what was a very emotional event. The last thing that the girl said before moving on was that Bill should tell my niece that she was sorry to have frightened her.
An interesting incident happened earlier in the room. Bill and I were standing quietly when Bill asked me to get both my sisters to come upstairs. When they came in, Bill did something that he rarely ever does. He started talking to my sisters about things that had happened in their childhood. He said that there were two older women in the room and that they were very strong personalities but were there to watch over the family. Both my sisters realised who the spirits were from descriptions Bill gave and confirmed the names he got. Bill started speaking of some of the things the girls had got up to when they were young and on a few occasions he told them things that even I didn’t know. They confirmed every bit of information Bill gave them. If I had ever harboured any doubt about the veracity of what Bill tells me on an investigation, then all doubts were cast out from that point on.
Clydebank. We were contacted by a young couple who told us that they were worried by their 18 month old daughter who spent her day in her room talking to an imaginary friend. Nothing unusual about this except for the fact that they had installed a baby cam in the room to keep an eye on her during the night and they were seeing orbs move about the room. The young man also felt that at night he was being pushed out of his daughters’ room and that this was quite frightening. Stevie and I went out for a preliminary visit. I spent some time in the room alone while Stevie talked to the family. Using the meters, I located a few hot spots in the corner of the room and under a trampoline. The readings were very high (around 5 to 7mG) and were constant. One thing that I thought of was that the house is situated directly under the final approach to Glasgow airport and I might be picking up signals from the ILS system from the airport. This is the radio beam that planes ride right down to touchdown and is a very tight beam signal. I used a radio tuned to the air band and found the frequency of the ILS but the signal faded very quickly as I held the radio lower while the meters became stronger at the same time! I sat quietly for a while and tried to open up to feelings in the room. After a short time, I got the impression that there was a young girl of about 4 years old hiding in the corner of the room. I spoke quietly to her and tried to encourage her to come close. As I spoke, the meter reading went from 5 to 9+mG and held there. I felt a very cold spot around my hand and felt very strongly that the girl was standing next to me. This was enough for us to pay a visit the following weekend with the team. Unfortunately Bill wasn’t very well and we went with Michael and Darren. Michael spent some time in the room with Darren and confirmed that there was indeed the spirit of a young girl in the room with us but that there was a strong male spirit here also. He asked me to go outside and told me that this spirit was very strong and he didn’t feel confident that he and Darren could move this without Bill. I called Bill and we decided that we would return during the week and attempt to move the spirits on. We went back into the house to speak to the couple when my phone rang. It was Bill who said he had changed his mind and was coming over and that we were to wait until he arrived before we tried anything.
When Bill arrived, he confirmed the girl spirit and that there was also another male present. I sat with Bill for a while and felt the presence of the girl again. I held out my hand with the meter in it and invited her to take my hand. The meter level rose to 9+mG again and my hand got very cold. Bill told me to ask her to come into the hall with me and as I moved out of the room the meter readings never dropped. Bill took the meter from my hand, telling me that she was still with me in the hall and walked back into the room. He switched the meter on and where we were previously getting high readings, the meter now showed a normal reading of 1mG. When he came back into the hall, the meter went back to a high reading! My hand remained cold until I asked her to go back into the room and wait there for me. Michael and Darren came up with the name Maggie and a date of 1910 for her death. Bill told us that she had been killed by a horse and cart.
We had a short break and went back into the room. Bill told Stevie that he would have to leave as Maggie was frightened of him. Stevie returned rather reluctantly to the living-room and spent his time researching the family name that Bill had picked up. He got several hits and we’re following up on the possible location of the grave.
Back in the room, I sat quietly for a while and suddenly I was filled with real anger! I felt like I wanted to hit someone. This is not like me so when I told Bill how I felt; he immediately dragged me out of the room and took me outside. He explained, what had happened was that the male spirit had tried to put his anger on me and that I was wide open to picking this sort of thing up. I had to try and stop him from doing this and Bill gave me some advice on how withstand this sort of contact.
We went back to the room and Bill picked up the man again. He told me to leave the room and I went through leaving him on his own. When I returned to the room, Bill told me that the man was Maggie’s grandfather and the anger he felt was that he couldn’t do anything to prevent her death. He had been a God fearing man and had felt it unfair that God took his grand daughter before him. He was trying to protect her and it took Bill some time to persuade him that we were there to help them both move on.
We formed a circle in the bedroom and Bill insisted that I join in as the girl seemed to have formed an attachment to me. During the séance, Bill and Michael persuaded the Grandfather to pick Maggie up and to move to the light. Bill said that she was looking at me and smiling. He told me to wave to her which I did. I said something like,’ Goodbye sweetheart’ and I swear I heard a child’s voice ask me if she could come and visit me. I said that she could and I heard her ask, ’How will I find you?’ I told her that when the time was right she would be able to find me. At that point, Michael said that they were moving on and that they were both smiling.
This last rescue was the most emotional for me so far. Bill, Michael and I have noticed that I appear to be becoming more sensitive to these situations and although I sometimes wonder if I’m imagining things, I’ll remember that voice as long as I live.
